Gahanna residents and commuters alike can breathe a little easier during their daily travels as previously closed lanes have reopened, despite ongoing construction. According to a social media update from the Gahanna Division of Police, "Construction in the area is still underway. However, the previously closed lanes have now reopened to traffic."
Earlier, disruptions were caused by emergency repairs conducted by AEP at the intersection of Old Ridenour Road and West Johnstown Road, affecting the flow of vehicles. The construction had necessitated southbound traffic on Old Ridenour to be right turn only, likewise for westbound on West Johnstown Road, drivers were urged to heed the detour signs. To access the Gahanna Swimming Pool, a detour route map was provided to assist drivers.
Moreover, a closure on Johnstown Road between Old Ridenour and James had impacted drivers heading east, underlining the importance of checking routes before heading out to destinations such as the Gahanna Swimming Pool (GSP). The Gahanna Division of Police had encouraged residents to stay informed by promising, "We will post any updates as they become available."
