Greg Abbott has placed the spotlight on small businesses in Texas with the announcement of the upcoming 2025 Governor's Small Business Summit, set to take place in Waxahachie this Thursday, July 24. According to a release on the official Office of the Texas Governor website, the event is part of a series designed to provide essential resources and guidance to both current small business owners and those with entrepreneurial aspirations across the state.
The summits, which unfold throughout the year in various regions, are furnished to not only assist in the starting and strengthening of small businesses, but also to aid in their expansion. On the agenda are opportunities intended to directly connect attendees with both governmental and private sector resources. "Small businesses are the cornerstone of our vibrant communities and the driving force behind Texas’ thriving economy," Governor Abbott stated, emphasizing the state's commitment to its nearly half-employed workforce by these enterprises, as stated by the Office of the Texas Governor.
The day-long event, hosted at the Waxahachie Civic Center, will showcase key topics through panel sessions including effective marketing strategies and the applications of AI in streamlining business operations.
