Grove City is gearing up for its annual Back to School Kickoff event that promises to mix education with entertainment for a family-friendly outing on August 16. According to a recent post on Grove City's official website, the event, set to take place at Town Center Park from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., will feature a variety of local organizations and activities designed to celebrate the end of summer and usher in the new school year.
On the docket for entertainment is Professor MegaNoggin, who is slated to literally blast off into fun with a science show at 11 a.m. that will engage children and parents alike. In addition, attendees can anticipate encounters with representatives from South Western City Schools, the Grove City Police Department featuring Therapy K-9 Bo, as well as the chance to learn more about youth programs through Grove City Parks & Rec. Heritage Cycles, The Girl Scouts, The Boy Scouts, and Noon Lions are among the participants highlighted on Grove City's website.
Serving to satisfy potential cravings, Sofi’s Mini Donuts food truck will be there, offering an array of treats for purchase.
