This event, which occurred southbound on the busy roadway around 10:20 p.m., prompted a swift response from local authorities who rushed to the scene following the 10:36 p.m. alert.
Upon their arrival, deputies were able to make contact with the reporting party and verify the alarming account. They found evidence to confirm that the victim's car had indeed been struck by gunfire, not once, but twice. The suspect, described only as a dark colored sedan with tinted windows, however, managed to elude capture and was not located in the immediate aftermath. Thankfully, no individuals were reported to require medical attention due to the incident.
