Gwinnett County District 4 Commissioner Matthew Holtkamp and Auburn Mayor Rick Roquemore are bringing local government directly to the community. As detailed in a Gwinnett County press release, they will co-host a town hall meeting that's less about presentations and more about conversation. Slated for today, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., this looks to be an open forum for residents of Auburn to ask questions and to seamlessly receive updates about their community's pulse and progress.
The Auburn Municipal Complex, located at 1 Auburn Way, will serve as the venue for the evening's dialogue. The marquee event is tactically scheduled for residents to have ample time to thoroughly engage, following a visit to the Auburn Downtown Farmers Market, which is open just before the town hall, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The event aims to provide updates on ongoing initiatives, but equally to listen — a bid to understand the tenor of the community's concerns and aspirations.
