H-E-B, the grocery chain that has been a staple in Texas for over a century, is setting up shop with a new location in Denton, affirming the city's continual growth and economic vitality. The City of Denton announced on its official Facebook page, highlighting that the second store will be nestled at the corner of Bonnie Brae and University Drive, a point of convergence in the bustling Rayzor Ranch area.
"We are delighted to share that H-E-B, a truly valued partner in our community, will be opening a second location in Denton," in a statement made on social media by Denton Mayor Gerard Hudspeth. Meanwhile, the mayor exulted over the economic boost anticipated from this expansion, declaring, "This is a significant investment in our economy and clearly demonstrates how our continued growth is spurring new development opportunities." Construction, according to the City of Denton post, is scheduled to begin in 2026.
Residents of Denton have long cherished H-E-B for its commitment to community-focused services, offering a diverse range of products that cater to local preferences. The second outpost aims to offer more convenience and variety, responding to the growing demand in the region. The announcement comes as a result of Denton's population and economic upturn, which has spurred various new development ventures, especially within the Rayzor Ranch vicinity, which has been undergoing a significant transformation.
