On Thursday, authorities in Harris County conducted an undercover operation at Spring Massage on Cypresswood Drive following a tip about possible prostitution and human trafficking. One person was arrested for alleged prostitution, as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
During a sting operation, a detective from Constable Mark Herman’s Office was solicited for sexual acts by Yi-Ling Lin, a spa employee. Lin was arrested and charged with prostitution. Authorities also found that the business did not have a valid Massage Establishment License. Another employee, Huynh Thi Dao, was working without a license and was taken into custody by U.S. Immigration due to her status as a Vietnamese national, as stated by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
According to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 on their Facebook page, the investigation involves human trafficking, where foreign nationals are brought to the U.S. under false promises and then forced into labor or sex work. The public is urged to report any related information. “If you know or suspect a location or person involved in Human Trafficking, please contact the Harris County Constable, Precinct 4 Mark Herman's Office at 281-376-3472 or on-line at www.constablepct4.com/regulatory-enforcement-unit.” The precinct also offers a mobile app called “C4 NOW,” which provides crime updates, arrest reports, safety tips, and traffic information.
