
A single-vehicle accident claimed the life of a young Hartford woman last night in Washington County. The Washington County Sheriff's Office, via a social media post, reported that deputies, alongside Slinger Police Department, responded to the scene following multiple reports around 9:46 p.m. near County Trunk K and Kettle Moraine Road in the Town of Hartford.
Upon arrival, they found a 21-year-old Hartford woman in dire need of medical intervention. Despite efforts to swiftly stabilize her, the victim was transported to a local hospital where, ultimately, she was declared deceased. The identity of the young woman has been withheld pending family notification. The road remained closed for an estimated five hours to allow the Washington County Crash Reconstruction Unit to thoroughly investigate the site.
The investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing, with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office leading the effort. As with similar accident investigations, authorities will examine the circumstances of the crash, including potential contributing factors such as vehicle malfunction, road conditions, or driver impairment.
