An altercation at Makiki Shopping Center turned violent when a 43-year-old man was stabbed and robbed while using an ATM. According to an official social media post by the Honolulu Police Department, the incident was classified as an Attempted Murder in the Second Degree.
The report details that the victim, after being approached by an unknown male suspect, sustained multiple stab wounds and later transported himself to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
The suspect, who is still at large, was last seen fleeing the scene with the victim’s money. The Honolulu Police Department is actively investigating the incident and urges anyone who witnessed the attack shortly after midnight to come forward with any information that could assist in making an arrest.
