On Monday, near King Intermediate School in Honolulu, a man reportedly tried to lure a group of young girls with a plush toy. The incident happened around 7:30 a.m. The Honolulu Police Department said there was no physical contact and no injuries.

A man described as a Caucasian in his 50s or 60s, about 5'9" tall and 150 pounds, with gray hair, was last seen wearing a light blue aloha shirt and brown pants. He approached the girls from a dark blue, late-model Honda sedan with roof racks. The license plate is unknown. He offered the girls a “Hello Kitty” plush doll, as reported by the Honolulu Police Department.

According to the Honolulu Police Department on their Facebook page, parents and guardians are advised to speak with their children about how to respond to strangers after a recent incident. The department also asked the public for help in identifying the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to "call 911 immediately or contact CrimeStoppers at (808) 955-8300 or via the P3 Tips app." Tips can also be reported at any police station.
