
Early last Saturday, a fire was reported in the Kalihi neighborhood after suspects set an exterior air conditioning unit on fire at an apartment building. The Honolulu Police Department stated on social media that the incident happened around 3:50 a.m. and involved two men and one woman who were seen pouring accelerant on the unit before setting it on fire. The suspects left the area in a black pickup truck.
A 24-year-old apartment resident was awakened when the Honolulu Fire Department forced entry to respond to a fire. A statement from the Honolulu Police Department on Facebook noted that no injuries were reported.
According to the Honolulu Police Department on their Facebook page, District 5 patrol officers and Honolulu Fire Department investigators are looking into a recent fire.
