Authorities have made an arrest in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred on the night of July 16 at an address on West 34th Street, Houston. The Houston Police Department has charged 21-year-old Isaac Biais with murder following the incident that took the life of 65-year-old William Hall.
According to a news release from the City of Houston, responding officers discovered Hall suffering from gunshot wounds, he was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The initial investigation suggests an argument may have led to the shooting. Following the altercation, the suspects reportedly fled in a black sedan heading eastbound on West 34th Street.
The breakthrough in the case came when Biais was apprehended on unrelated charges on July 17, one day after the murder. Subsequent investigations connected him to the crime scene and led to his arrest, and on Monday, Biais faced formal charges for his alleged role in William Hall's death.
Detectives W. Elliott and D. Hobson from HPD's Homicide Division spearheaded the inquiry into Hall's death, their efforts leading to the quick apprehension of a suspect. The case against Biais is now in the hands of the 184th State District Court.
