
Following a disturbing incident in Houston, a man has been detained and faces murder charges after a fatal stabbing on Bigwood Street. According to the City of Houston News, the Houston Police Department identified 55-year-old Harrison Dewayne Robinson as the accused. Robinson was apprehended yesterday and subsequently charged with murder in the 177th State District Court, the stabbing resulted in the death of 37-year-old Alex Edwards. Detectives within the HPD Homicide Division uncovered the details leading to Robinson's arrest.
Events unfolded early in the morning on June 8, when officers responded to reports of a stabbing at the residence on Bigwood Street. They found Edwards with multiple stab wounds. Robinson, who was indicated by family members as the suspect, was hiding in a back room of the residence and was detained without incident before being transported to the hospital along with the victim, who later succumbed to his injuries. Witnesses claimed that the suspect and victim had an altercation that escalated, leading to the stabbing.
Initially, after the suspect was taken into custody and following consultation with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, he was released while the investigation continued. However, a thorough investigation led detectives back to the DA's office, where a murder charge was ultimately accepted.
