A stark violence unfolded in northwest Houston when a man, having just patronized a Wingstop, became the victim of a fatal shooting. According to the ABC13 report, the Houston Police Department responded to an incident near West 34th and Mangum where they found the scene peppered with at least 15 bullet markers.
Walking near a bus stop, the man was suddenly beset by gunfire, as noted by Click2Houston. Multiple shots rang out from a dark-colored sedan, striking the man just outside a Wells Fargo. In the scramble to comprehend the tempest of shots, the telltale black vehicle split into the anonymity of the night.
Though emergency services were quick to respond, the brutal cascade of bullets proved fatal. The man, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead after efforts to rush him to the hospital. The incident occurred around midnight today, shortly after the man's interaction with Wingstop.
Detectives are pressing for leads, with HPD Det. Hobson disclosing to ABC13 that they are "looking for a dark color sedan."
