A pedestrian accident that occurred months ago has sadly culminated in the death of a Houston man. According to the City of Houston's news release, a collision that took place on Telephone Road on March 7 at about 9 p.m. has resulted in a fatality. Daniel Montoya, 57, the man injured in the crash, succumbed to his injuries on Monday.
The initial report from Houston Police's Vehicular Crimes Division, shared by officers N. Kumar and J. Lee provides details of the incident, stating, "The driver of a white Honda Accord was traveling northbound on Telephone Road when he struck a pedestrian standing in the main lanes of the roadway, not in a crosswalk," as reported by the City of Houston News.
Following the collision, Mr. Montoya was transported to an area hospital for treatment, and after more than four months of care, Montoya was pronounced deceased by physicians. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is still ongoing.
