Houston police are investigating an incident on Long Drive where a 71-year-old man was found dead on Sunday evening. According to information released by the Houston Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 10:20 p.m. at the 6600 block of Long Drive.

As reported by City of Houston News, responding officers came upon the scene after receiving a report about the deceased male. A citizen, who left before additional questions could be asked, initially assisted Houston Fire Department paramedics in locating the man, who was found lying face down in the brush. Paramedics attempted resuscitation but were unsuccessful, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The individual's identity is still not confirmed, pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The case is being handled by HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Finlay and B. Stephens.
