
Early this morning, Houston police began an investigation into a deadly automobile incident that took place in the 9800 block of North Freeway. The crash unfortunately claimed the life of a 20-year-old male, whose name is currently awaiting confirmation from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. According to the City of Houston News, Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer M. Lozano of the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division indicated that the accident occurred around 2:55 a.m.
The report indicates that the victim was driving a white Mercedes-Benz GLA heading south near the aforementioned address when he failed to maintain a single lane and subsequently struck a pillar. Post-crash, he was rapidly transported to an area hospital by the responding Houston Fire Department paramedics, where he was pronounced dead by the medical staff.
