
Houston authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the demise of an unidentified male whose body was discovered following a blaze in an abandoned building on Burkett Street yesterday evening. The call, which brought officers to the fiery scene at approximately 6:55 p.m., was initially made by firefighters after they encountered the severely burnt individual, as reported by City of Houston News.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Amri and D. Toledo are currently on the case, and the male’s exact cause of death remains a mystery—one that is hoped to be solved following an autopsy. The identity of the man is also yet to be verified by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, which now holds the key to possibly unraveling what transpired in the charred remains at 3104 Burkett Street.
