Tragedy struck at a Houston apartment complex where a 45-year-old man was found fatally shot yesterday evening. The Houston Police Department (HPD) is actively investigating the incident that transpired at 12615 Brookglade Circle around 8:45 p.m. The identity of the victim is still pending, as family members have yet to be notified, according to the City of Houston News.
Upon arrival, the officers encountered the man lying in the common area of the complex, suffering multiple gunshot wounds. Witnesses claim to have heard several gunshots just before discovering the victim. HPD Homicide Division's Sergeant J. Stroble and Detectives R. Collier are in charge of the case, attempting to piece together what unfolded on that fatal night, as they currently do not have a description of the suspect(s) involved.
The victim was rushed to an area hospital by Houston Fire Department paramedics but was subsequently pronounced dead. As the investigation continues, officials urge anyone with information to step forward.
