A man was fatally shot yesterday at the METRO Southeast Transit Center in Houston while reportedly picking up a family member. The incident occurred a little after 6:30 p.m., Houston and METRO police said. A man and woman were in a vehicle at the time; the male victim was pronounced dead at the scene after their car crashed into a tree, while the woman escaped physical harm, according to Click2Houston.
Further reports from ABC13 suggest that the shooting involved a red Ford Ranger and a silver Buick at the transit center on Scottcrest near Old Spanish Trail. Witnesses heard two gunshots before the Ford Ranger drove off; authorities found the man deceased in the Buick later on. The relationship between the individuals involved remains unclear, and they were not METRO passengers.
As of now, investigators have not pinpointed the motive behind the shooting nor have they made any arrests.
