The Houston Police Department is reaching out to the community, asking for help in tracking down suspects involved in a carjacking incident that occurred on the morning of March 30, 2025. The event took place at approximately 4:30 am near the 3700 block of Elgin, within the confines of an apartment complex parking garage.
According to a press release from the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division, the victims were approaching their white Dodge Charger when they were intercepted by three male individuals. One suspect pointed a handgun at the complainants, demanding their possessions, which included their car keys. The victims, complying with the assailants' demands handed over the keys, after which the suspects took off with the vehicle in tow, as well as a white Honda Civic, identifiable by its stolen rear license plates.
The stolen Dodge Charger was later found on the same day, abandoned at another apartment complex at 7909 S. Sam Houston Parkway East. No further information has been disclosed about the condition of the vehicle upon recovery, nor the status of any other personal property that might have been inside at the time of the theft.
The Houston Police have offered a description of the suspects: all three are identified as Black males, with one being tall, another short, and the third of a heavy-set build. Each was reportedly wearing dark clothing at the time of the incident. The information about their appearance is sparse, and the need for public assistance in this case is clear. Crime Stoppers of Houston has announced that tips leading to the charging and arrest of any felony suspects might be rewarded with a cash payment of up to $5,000.
