Authorities in Houston are reaching out to the community, seeking assistance in the search for a suspect linked to a brazen robbery that occurred at a downtown restaurant earlier this year. The incident took place at around 4:15 pm on May 6, 2025, which saw the suspect initially masquerade as a patron before making a forceful attempt to raid the cash register. The Houston Police Department's Robbery Division, in an attempt to apprehend the individual involved, is asking for the public's help.
This downtown crime scene, set at the 2800 block of Caroline, witnessed the suspect, a black male dressed in a dark shirt, dark pants, and a red cap, and carrying a black backpack, put forth a facade as he entered the establishment. What unfolded next was a sequence of events that culminated in a forceful robbery attempt. When confronted by an employee as he tried to access the cash drawer, the suspect resorted to physical measures, pushing the employee aside before fleeing the scene, as reported by the official Houston Police Department's Robbery Division blog.
Crime Stoppers of Houston is leading a campaign to find the suspect and is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to their arrest or charges. With serious felony charges at stake, anonymous tips are strongly encouraged.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 713-222-TIPS (8477), visiting their website, or using their mobile app. To stay anonymous and qualify for the reward, tips must go through Crime Stoppers directly.
