A male victim was fatally shot in a parking lot at 3820 South Gessner Road in Houston last Saturday morning, around 1:25 a.m., according to official reports by the Houston Police Department (HPD). As of now, the victim's identity has not been disclosed as authorities await the next of kin to be notified by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Responding to the scene, HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Graf and E. Torres found the man unresponsive, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics who arrived shortly after pronounced him dead at the scene. Initial investigation suggests that the victim was near an unidentified vehicle when a disturbance appeared to have quickly escalated, leading up to the shooting. The suspect or suspects managed to rapidly flee in an unknown vehicle before law enforcement officers arrived, as reported by the City of Houston News.
Houston police are now appealing to the public for any information that could help in resolving the case.
