A house fire in the Alief area, which occurred last Friday morning, resulted in one civilian being transported to the hospital, a recent report from the Houston Fire Department stated. The blaze, deemed accidental and caused by an electrical issue, took place in the 11700 block of Corona Ln., according to an official release.

Firefighters, having arrived at the scene at approximately 7:01 a.m., found smoke billowing from a 1-story house. They made an offensive attack while conducting a primary search for the inhabitants. Amid the chaos, a resident was discovered and swiftly extricated from the burning structure. Transported to the hospital by HFD EMS, their condition has not been disclosed.

The Houston Fire Department Arson investigators were called to establish the cause and origin of the fire which they ruled as accidental, stemming from an electrical malfunction. In the aftermath of the incident, the American Red Cross was notified to assist the displaced family.

A significant response was mounted to tackle the house fire, with 39 personnel arriving to combat the flames – among them firefighters from Stations 76, 82, 2, 68, 83, 10, 73, 69, 57 and Rescue 10 – as the house got extinguished.
