A disturbing event has come to light involving a Houston Independent School District teacher. Christopher J. Hampton, a Physical Education teacher at Pleasantville Elementary, has been charged with unlawful disclosure of intimate visual material, a revelation that has shaken the school community.
According to accusations detailed in court records, Hampton's ex-girlfriend, who is the victim in this case, alerted authorities that after their three-year relationship ended, she was unknowingly featured in explicit videos that Hampton had taken. FOX 26 reports the victim was contacted by another woman via Facebook Messenger, who inquired if it was her appearing in the explicit videos shared with her.
Further investigation led to the discovery of one such video on Hampton's personal X account on a social media platform. Subsequent legal actions directed at Meta Platforms connected an email ending with @houstonisd.org to the Instagram account in question. An HISD Police Department investigation confirmed the email was registered to Hampton, as stated in the court documents obtained by KPRC 2.
The school district has taken steps following the charges against Hampton. "HISD holds all employees to high professional and ethical standards both on and off-campus. An investigation into these allegations has been initiated and the teacher is in the process of being put on administrative leave," disclosed Houston ISD in a statement to KPRC 2. As of now, Hampton has not been arrested, but investigations are ongoing and the school district is pursuing necessary actions to address the situation.
