A deputy with Constable Mark Herman's Office apprehended a suspect wanted for the continuous sexual assault of a child, according to a recent Facebook announcement. The suspect, identified as Jason McCarthy, was spotted and detained in the 17200 block of Rainier Creek Drive. This arrest comes as a result of an open warrant from Hunt County.

"Thanks to alert deputies, a dangerous suspect is now off the streets," Constable Mark Herman stated, as reported by the Precinct 4 Facebook page. McCarthy has been booked into the Harris County Jail, though as of now, his bond and court information remain to be set.

Law enforcement's engagement with the community doesn't stop with the apprehension of suspects. The Constable's Office actively promotes its mobile app, “C4 NOW,” which allows residents to receive live feeds on crime, arrests, and traffic accidents in their area.
