His team reached the NIT quarterfinals in the 2023-24 season but did not qualify for the NCAA tournament, leading to his departure earlier this year.
Kevin Kruger has joined the Fighting Illini staff. He has international playing experience in Bulgaria, Italy, China, Mexico, Belgium, and Germany, which may help with future recruiting.
