An investigation is currently underway following the death of an inmate at the Nashville-Davidson County Sheriff's Office Correctional Development Center. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, with law enforcement responding to a report of an unresponsive inmate around 5:50 p.m., per the Davidson County Sheriff's Office (DCSO).
Upon discovering 31-year-old William Davenport unresponsive, officers began administering CPR and promptly notified the Nashville Fire Department. Despite their life-saving attempts, Davenport was pronounced dead at the scene, details of which were reported by WSMV.
