
The Irving Police Department recently hosted its 2025 2nd Quarter Merit and Tenure Awards Ceremony, a time-honored tradition to recognize the dedication and performance of its personnel. In a social media post, the department extended congratulations to over 40 employees, though not all were pictured, for their noteworthy contributions.
During the ceremony, officers and civilian staff alike received accolades ranging from service bars commemorating 5 to 30 years of duty to safe driving awards for 5 to 25 years without incident. Moreover, the department awarded Lifesaving Bars, Certificate of Merit Bars, Police Commendation Bars, and honored the Civilian of the Quarter and Officer of the Quarter. In a statement shared on their Facebook page, the Irving Police Department expressed its pride, saying, "We are proud of your accomplishments—thank you for your continued excellence!"
The awards ceremony serves not only to publicly recognize the outstanding work of Irving’s law enforcement and support staff, but also to foster a culture of excellence within the department.
