In a gesture aimed at lending support to new parents, the City of Jacksonville has announced that local non-profits will be hosting two diaper giveaways this week. The social media post from the City of Jacksonville details the events designed to assist families in need of these essential baby supplies.
The first giveaway, orchestrated by Safe Future Foundation, Inc., is set to occur tomorrow, at 7373 Old Kings Road South, with the doors open from 11am to 1pm. They will be offering to freely distribute Newborn, and sizes 1, 2, and 3 diapers, available to all until supplies have been fully expended.
Concluding the week's charitable efforts, the Diaper Bank for Northeast Florida will hold their giveaway at Impact Christian Academy, located at 9501 Arlington Expy., on Saturday, August 2nd, from 10am to Noon. As with the first event, the giveaway is a first come, first served affair, and will continue as long as the diaper supplies last.
The community has expressed gratitude towards these organizations for their efforts in providing this necessary service. The City of Jacksonville's post extends thanks to the "amazing organizations and their supporters for giving our new parents a helping hand." These giveaways come as a timely support for families trying to meet the needs of their little ones in the face of mounting economic pressures, making these events more than just a handout, but a vital lifeline for those struggling to ensure the comfort and care of their infants.
