The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is currently on the lookout for two individuals responsible for a brazen theft of electronic goods at a warehouse club on Atlantic Boulevard. As reported in their social media post, the suspects managed to nonchalantly shoplift an array of items including four TVs, a soundbar, and two Bluetooth speakers. The theft turned slightly comical when the thieves, in their haste, lost one of the televisions as it clumsily tumbled out of their getaway vehicle, a green Chevy Avalanche.
The boldness of the heist couldn't be overstated as the duo brazenly bypassed the checkout, instead opting to forcefully push past employees. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office stated, "Instead of bringing their carts to the checkout lane, they headed for the door, pushing past the employees checking receipts." Eyewitnesses then watched as they hurriedly loaded their stolen loot into their vehicle before speeding away from the scene.
Furthermore, this incident was not an isolated event. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office confirmed that the same men, using the same truck, had executed a similar theft at another warehouse club in District 3 only an hour prior to this incident. Collectively, the suspects have been linked to multiple thefts across the city, suggesting a spree of orchestrated crimes utilizing the now-notorious green Chevy Avalanche.
The call for assistance has been widely circulated, with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office earnestly asking for public aid in identifying these culprits. The post read, "If you recognize them, call 904.630.0500." They've also provided an avenue for tips to be submitted anonymously via First Coast Crime Stoppers at 1.866.845.TIPS.
