Early Saturday morning, Jacksonville Sheriff's Office officers responded to a shooting on Rover Road near 103rd Street. The victim, identified as 18-year-old Xzaria Randall, was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds to her torso and was pronounced dead at the scene by JFRD, as reported on the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Facebook page.

Swift action by the Homicide detectives led to the identification of 23-year-old Stephan Smith as the prime suspect in connection with the shooting, the office's detective team started their investigation by reviewing the evidence and interviewing witnesses and not long after, Stephan Smith was arrested, he is now in the Duval County jail facing a Murder charge. In their commitment to seeing justice served, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has stated they will work "closely with the State Attorney’s Office to make sure justice is served for Randall’s loved ones."
