Lane closures and a single-lane contraflow will be in place on Kōloa Road between Maluhia Road and Waikomo Road on Thursday and on Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., weather permitting. The Department of Public Works and Maui Kupono Builders announced the traffic changes in a county press release from the County of Kauai.
Drivers should expect flaggers directing traffic through a contraflow due to ongoing road resurfacing work. Property access along the road will remain open during the closures, allowing residents and businesses to reach their locations. Electronic message boards will be set up to inform motorists of the changes in advance, according to the County of Kauai.
