An early morning crash yesterday in Orange County claimed the life of a woman, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol. The incident occurred on the ramp from State Road 453 to northbound State Road 429 around 5:13 a.m. A statement obtained by ClickOrlando detailed that the 24-year-old Lake Mary woman was traveling above the posted speed limit and failed to maneuver her 2018 Honda Accord through the curve of the ramp, subsequently veering off the road.
The WFTV reported that the vehicle's collision with a concrete overpass support occurred after it departed the roadway. Despite wearing her seat belt during the crash, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Florida Highway Patrol is actively investigating to determine the precise causes and contributing factors to this tragic event.
