Police said the bicyclist was riding inside the coned-off area when they moved into the traffic lane and struck the bus, which was driven by 46-year-old Dajuan Smith. The bicyclist was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in critical condition and later died. The Clark County Coroner’s Office confirmed the death on Tuesday, as reported by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

The cyclist’s name has not been released pending notification of next of kin. Police said the bus driver was not injured. The Collision Investigation Section continues to examine the circumstances of the incident, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
