The National Weather Service in Las Vegas says Southern Nevada will have dry conditions and seasonal temperatures through the coming week. Afternoon breezes are expected, with only a few isolated areas seeing different conditions, according to the National Weather Service.
A shortwave trough moving through central California and Nevada may bring isolated showers and storms to the Sierra Crest and mountains of Esmeralda County, while most areas, including Mohave County, are expected to stay dry under southwesterly flow. At Harry Reid Airport and nearby terminals, “Sustained speeds of 10-15KT are expected to develop by early afternoon, with at least intermittent gusts to 20-23KT during peak heating,” with clear skies and good visibility, as reported by the National Weather Service.
Across southern Nevada, northwest Arizona, and southeast California, southerly to southwesterly winds are expected, with some areas seeing gusts up to 25–30 knots in the late afternoon. Winds are forecast to ease by evening, leading to calmer conditions overnight. Weather spotters in these regions are asked to report any significant conditions, as stated by the National Weather Service.
