Las Vegas will hold the third Las Vegas Arts and Culture Summit on August 21. The full-day event will be hosted by Mayor Shelley Berkley at the Historic Fifth Street School. It will focus on building partnerships between museums, civic groups, galleries, mentors, and educators, according to the City of Las Vegas.
The summit runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and includes a continental breakfast, lunch, and an evening reception with refreshments, as reported by the City of Las Vegas. The event features performances, panel discussions, and speakers such as Heather Harmon and Michael Govan. Tickets cost $25. Parking is included.
The City of Las Vegas, together with the Mayor’s Fund for Las Vegas Life, will hold a cultural event supported by the Nevada Arts Council and Meow Wolf. The event will take place at a local cultural venue, with most activities scheduled in the auditorium and gallery spaces. Jennifer Kleven, deputy director of the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, said, “The arts have a natural ability to bring community together and contribute greatly to the identity of the city.” The event is part of the city's cultural programs, and the full agenda is available on the city's website.
