The Visual Art League of Lewisville is gearing up to showcase a soul-stirring array of original artworks featuring Denise Lindgren's premiere solo exhibit and a naturally inspired group display by VAL members. According to the City of Lewisville, the "Meaning Through Memory" exhibition by Lindgren, which runs from July 12 through Aug. 9 at the Lewisville Grand Theater art gallery, has been culled from the essence of recollected times, with collages and assemblages fashioned from objects steeped in personal and shared histories.
Lindgren's work is described as a voyage to connect the dots between past, present, and future through memory. Geometric guidance alongside symmetry is said to be central to a craft that intertwines aesthetics, process, and spirituality. In a striking show of art-meeting-purpose, each piece is poised to not only catch the eye but also to resonate with the shared experiences of its audience.
Concurrently, "All Natural" will exhibit works by members of the Visual Art League, unified by themes that embrace nature in its purest form. Both exhibits kick off with openings scheduled for Saturday, July 12 between the hours of 3-5 p.m., and again at 7-9 p.m. To deeply engage visitors, Lindgren is set to deliver an Art Talk on Sunday, July 20.
