Las Vegas is buzzing with the energy of kids gearing up for the new school year, and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) is right in the thick of it, ensuring that students have the supplies they need. According to a social media post by LVMPD, the department's Office of Community Engagement partnered with various valley agencies and organizations to host a back-to-school event at the East Las Vegas Center. Excited children received not only school supplies but also backpacks and even haircuts to start their year right.
Adding to the festivities, kids indulged in treats while they explored the resources made available to them. LVMPD made sure that the day wasn't just about school supplies but also about building relationships within the community. Heading with backpacks to school, they had smiling faces. According to the LVMPD Facebook page, the Doolittle Community Center was the scene of another giveaway earlier today, where community partners contributed to the cause.
LVMPD Bolden Area Command officers participated in a community event where they distributed stickers and school supplies to local children and teens. The event aimed to build positive interactions between law enforcement and youth, promoting community engagement beyond routine duties.
