As summer heats up in North Texas, families looking for a splash can now head to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Arlington for their latest attraction. The water park has officially opened its new feature, Splash Island, which serves up a variety of water-based fun across its 58,000 square foot area. Among the enticements are 17 distinct slides and over 100 interactive water elements designed to keep the excitement flowing for both kids and adults.

The park's latest addition stands out with a 50-foot-tall multi-level treehouse play structure at its center. “Splash Island was designed with our families in mind," said Hurricane Harbor Park Manager Heather Blair, per the City of Arlington, "It provides tons of fun for kids and parents alike, and a place for everyone to relax in the nearby cabanas while they savor our new food and beverage offerings.” Visitors can expect to experience a range of slides with diverse twists and drops, as well as a massive splash pad and a Texas-sized tipping bucket that unleashes 1,000 gallons of water.

But Splash Island isn't just about the thrills. The park has also upgraded its family amenities and dining options. New attractions include double-decker family cabanas with comfy beach furniture and thematic murals offering a fresh look across the park. The Smokehouse on the Water restaurant comes completely reimagined with an all-new menu. According to the City of Arlington, guests can tuck into smoked brisket, pulled pork, and sides like house-made macaroni and cheese and cornbread.

The best way to experience Hurricane Harbor and be among the first to check out Splash Island is with a Six Flags Season Pass.
