A violent altercation on a METRORail vehicle resulted in one man being attacked with a machete at Burnett Station yesterday morning. METRO police were quick to the scene, arresting the suspect at approximately 11:18 a.m. The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, was taken into custody without further incident. Houston firefighters also responded, providing first aid to the victim, who was then transported to a hospital for additional care. The nature of the wounds suggests that the cuts were defensive in nature.
