Earlier this morning, a shooting in an Orange County neighborhood turned fatal when a man in his 30s succumbed to gunshot wounds at a local hospital. The incident, which unfolded around 2 a.m. at the intersection of 18th Street and South Nashville Avenue, is currently under investigation by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. ClickOrlando reported that deputies found the victim after being called to the scene.
According to a statement from the sheriff's office, the man was located by responding deputies and was quickly transported to a hospital where he later died. As of now, no further details regarding the circumstances of the shooting or the identity of the victim have been disclosed. Officials have yet to release information to possibly identify or apprehend the shooter. The area around Orange Blossom Trail, southwest of Orlando, where the shooting occurred, has been canvassed for witnesses and evidence, in hopes to possibly shed light on what transpired.
