A man has lost his life following a shooting incident in Portland's Portsmouth neighborhood. According to the Portland Police Bureau, the shooting happened on Sunday, July 20, 2025, around 11:04 a.m.
Officers from the North Precinct were dispatched to the 9300 block of North Newman Avenue after getting reports of gunfire. Arriving at the scene, they discovered a male victim with apparent gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by a sergeant to render life-saving measures on location, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
