A man is currently in stable condition after being shot multiple times while driving his vehicle on Dennis Street near Myrtle Avenue in downtown Jacksonville, an event that led to him crashing his car. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, as reported by News4JAX, the shooting took place around 5:25 p.m. yesterday, causing the driver to collide his vehicle soon thereafter.
The gunfire assault left the man with bullet wounds in his groin, back, and arms. He was initially taken to a local hospital in critical condition, but was later upgraded to stable. The sheriff's office is actively looking to quickly find a red or burgundy sedan in connection with the shooting. However, no suspects have been apprehended as of yet. The sheriff's office believes this to be an isolated incident posing no imminent threat to the public.
