
Mansfield, Texas, marked the culmination of its summer festivities at the Mansfield Activities Center (MAC), as the community celebrated the finale of 100 Hours of PLAY and the Mansfield Public Library Summer Reading Challenge. The event, detailed in a social media post from the City of Mansfield, Texas Municipal Government, featured an array of activities including bounce houses, crafts, and games—a fitting finale to a season filled with literary explorations and physical activities.
In a Facebook post celebrating the event's success, the City of Mansfield echoed the community's enthusiasm, stating, "What a journey, Mansfield! Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun at the MAC for our 100 Hours of PLAY & Mansfield Public Library Summer Reading Challenge Finale." This local initiative encouraged residents to indulge in reading, while also providing ample opportunities to play and enjoy the summer, a scene where imagination met the laughter of children, the engagement of teens, parents perusing bookshelves as their little ones marveled at storybook covers, the sounds of bouncing and spirited chatter filling the air of the MAC.
Participants of all ages took part in the Summer Reading Challenge, clocking in their reading hours over the summer months to complete 100 hours of play and reading.
