In a social media share that's garnered pawsitive attention, the Maple Grove Police Department announced that CSOs Ryan, Surgenor, and Bryant have completed a certified Canine and Feline CPR & First Aid course.
The life-preserving techniques were imparted through Pet Emergency Education, and the event was hosted by neighborly Plymouth PD; this endeavor stitches a new thread in the fabric of community care, encapsulating both the bipedal and the quadrupedal heartbeats of its nucleus. "This hands-on training will give our team the skills to provide life-saving care to pets in emergency situations," the department asserted.
The officers' newly-acquired proficiencies underscore an often-overlooked aspect of first-response – pet emergencies. Animal lovers and citizens alike have expressed commendation over the expanded purview of the local law enforcement, recognizing that pets, which lay by so many hearths and homes, are an integral part of the communal tapestry.
