The County of Maui's Department of Parks and Recreation announced free events scheduled for July in recognition of National Park and Recreation Month. Activities will take place on Maui, Molokaʻi, and Lānaʻi to promote community participation and park use, as reported by the County of Maui.
The County of Maui is inviting residents to attend outdoor movie nights happening throughout the month. Most screenings will begin at sunset, except for a special showing at 6:30 p.m. on July 11 at the Lānaʻi Park Complex Gymnasium. According to the County of Maui, attendees may "bring snacks, nonalcoholic beverages, low-back chairs and blankets." Screenings will be held at various locations across the islands to provide access for residents in different areas.
The County of Maui’s Department of Parks and Recreation will hold several events in July for National Park and Recreation Month. These include a beginner’s pickleball clinic on July 18 and a family kickball game on July 16. Outdoor movie nights are also scheduled at locations such as Kamaole Beach Park III and the Lahaina Civic Center Amphitheater.
