The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation has scheduled nighttime lane and shoulder closures this week for pavement marker work on Hāna Highway (Route 36), Haleakalā Highway (Route 377), and North Kīhei Road (Route 310). Drivers are advised to expect delays and plan for extra travel time during the closures, according to the Hawai‘i Department of Transportation.

The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation will start road work at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, and continue until 6 a.m. on Thursday. On Hāna Highway, the westbound lane between mile markers 10.2 and 10.5 near Māliko Gulch will be reduced to one lane from 9 p.m. to midnight. Traffic will be directed through the open lane. On Haleakalā Highway, the westbound shoulder at mile marker 5.5 near the Old Haleakalā Highway intersection will be closed from midnight to 3 a.m., with traffic continuing through a lane shift.

The southbound lane of North Kīhei Road near mile marker 3, close to the Maui Canoe Club, will be closed from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Thursday. Traffic will alternate in the remaining lane. The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation advises checking its Facebook and X pages for possible schedule updates.
