A burglary at Top Notch Market 2 on Park Avenue has left the business stripped of cash and tobacco products after a break-in last week. According to a report published by the Memphis Police Department, the incident occurred on the morning of July 23.
The suspects, described as driving a gold Scion XB with a temporary tag, seem to have forced their way into the establishment before making off with the goods. Police were dispatched at 9:14 a.m., after the crime was already in progress. Investigators are currently in the process to actively seek any leads that may help to capture the individuals responsible for the burglary.
In an unusual twist, it was not merely a single incident but a sequential crime. Following the initial theft, two additional suspects on bicycles made their way into the already compromised Top Notch Market 2. The duo continued the run of pilfering by taking more tobacco products, as reported by the Memphis Police Department.
The Memphis Police Department has reached out to the community for assistance, urging anyone with information to come forward. "Anyone with information about this incident should call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH," implores the official statement on the department's website.
