
There was a robbery reported at the intersection of Third Street and Beale Street near the entrance of Rum Boogie Cafe last Sunday. According to the Memphis Police Department's website, the incident took place between 4:15 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. when a suspect allegedly brandished a handgun at two victims, pushing one against a wall to demand their belongings before fleeing with a gold chain and a wallet.
The Memphis Police Department has released descriptions of the three suspects involved. The first suspect, a tall, thin Black male, had dreads pulled back into a ponytail, was seen wearing a blue and white shorts set along with white shoes, and was armed with a handgun. Walking down Peabody in a black Ford pickup truck, the suspects fled the scene. Suspect #2, also a tall, thin Black male, had dreads and sported a gray t-shirt, blue jean shorts, and white shoes. The third accomplice, a short Black female, was noted for her long dyed braids, a green cap, a white tank top, and blue jeans.
